The struggles of this season continued on Saturday afternoon for Penn State basketball. The Nittany Lions entered the home contest with Rutgers in search of their first Big Ten win of the season, but it wasn’t to be. As has been the case this year, Penn State hung around, but wasn’t able finish when it counted. The home crowd watched the Nittany Lions fall to the Scarlet Knights, 64-60.
After winning the NIT last year, there were high expectations for the Nittany Lions entering this season. Unfortunately, things went south very quick. The Nittany Lions won seven non-conference games, but are now mired in the middle of a seven-game conference losing streak.
