2019 has not been kind to the Penn State basketball program. The Nittany Lions began an eight-game conference losing streak in January that wasn’t broken until a win at Northwestern in early February. Lately, the Nittany Lions had been playing much better, even knocking off ranked opponents in Michigan and Maryland. Saturday brought a road matchup with another ranked foe — No. 19 Wisconsin.
Penn State gave the Badgers all they could handle, but in the end, the Nittany Lions were not able to come up with victory and headed out of Wisconsin on the wrong end of the 61-57 score.
