Penn State baseball dominated by No. 23 St. John’s

Coming off of a night in which it blew a four-run lead in the ninth inning, things went south far earlier for Penn State Sunday.

If there was one play to sum up Penn State’s woeful Sunday afternoon, one didn’t have to look any further than the bottom of the first inning.

After giving up eight runs in the top of the first inning, the Nittany Lions batted out of order in the bottom of the frame, which as a result, ended the inning.

The struggles didn’t stop there, as No. 23 St. John’s rode the dominant first inning all the way to a 18-4 blowout victory.
