For our next Penn State 2018 Player Preview, we move to a position that lost its two starters from last season: cornerback. With Grant Haley and Christian Campbell both graduating and moving to the NFL, all the spotlight will be on cornerback Amani Oruwariye in 2018.
Amani Oruwariye, who’s from Tampa, FL, is going into his senior season at Penn State and was a former three-star recruit coming out of high school. It turns out that Oruwariye was one of the players that decommitted from Vanderbilt right after James Franklin left for Penn State. Like the great recruiter he is, Franklin got him to flip to Penn State within 16 days of him being hired at Penn State.
