When the dust settled on Matt McGloin’s career at Penn State, he’d racked up 42 passing touchdowns — including a Big Ten-best 24 in 2012. But, one of his most memorable scores came on his very first completion as the Nittany Lions’ QB.
McGloin, a redshirt sophomore, entered the game in Penn State’s 2010 road test against Minnesota following an injury to Rob Bolden. Time waned in the second quarter, and Penn State was holding on to a seven-point lead. McGloin made an immediate impact, finding Derek Moye deep for a 42-yard score and leading the Nittany Lions to a 33-21 win.
