Williams joined Penn State as a 5-star recruit in the 2023 class, the #1 player in Pennsylvania, and the #25 overall recruit in the country per 247Sports.
J’ven redshirted in 2023, before seeing snaps in 16 games in 2024. Heading into 2025, J’ven will be featured heavily in the 2-deep rotation along the offensive line. At his size (6-foot-5 and 315 pounds), Williams has flexibility to play at most positions along the offensive line, but currently appears set to work into the guard rotation behind Vega Ioane and Cooper Cousins.
