Only John Petrishen Until Penn State Football

The parade of fourth-year players continues, as our countdown rolls on with safety John Petrishen. Petrishen was ranked as the second-best safety in Pennsylvania coming out of Pittsburgh Central Catholic. He redshirted in 2015 and did not see any game action the following year. Last season, Petrishen appeared in three games and registered tackles against Akron and Georgia State. After the winter workouts, strength and conditioning coach Dwight Galt named Petrishen one of the top-five players during winter workouts, showing that he may be ready to take the next step. He has dealt with injuries in his career, but if healthy, the redshirt-junior will be in the rotation at safety in 2018.
