Leading 28-27 early in the third quarter, the Lions had just gained the lead on the prior drive (Saquon Barkley’s absurd 79-yard rushing touchdown), and had all of the momentum. Trace McSorley popped the ball down the left sideline to a well-covered Godwin, trusting that his receiver would make a play.
Make a play he did, coming back to contest the ball, which popped into the air after both players got a hand on it.
