Minnesota's hiring of P.J. Fleck was widely seen as a home run, but things haven't gotten off the smoothest start. The St. Paul Pioneer Press reported that the Golden Gophers will self-report a minor NCAA violation after the Detroit News reported that the team "might" be recruiting Fleck's former players at Western Michigan.
Minnesota athletic director Mark Coyle told the Pioneer Press that Fleck and his staff were not recruiting Western Michigan players.
