Penn State’s 2019 class dropped down to 16 members today as North Carolina three-star Emery Simmons decommitted from the Nittany Lions.
Simmons originally committed to Indiana on March 18, but eventually flipped to the in-state Tar Heels on June 20. That commitment only lasted a little over a month though, with Simmons making the call for Penn State on July 28. So while there weren’t any rumblings of Simmons potentially flipping, it shouldn’t come as too big of a surprise given his recruitment.
Penn State will now be tasked with finding a replacement at wide receiver, all the while, hoping to hold onto Florida four-star John Dunmore.
