Last March, the Nittany Lions and Saints met for their second-consecutive NCAA Regional Semifinal where St. Lawrence once again triumphed over the three-peat reigning AHA Champions. The two were set for a third rematch. This time, however, it would kick off the season rather than end it.
No. 8 Penn State faced No. 9 St. Lawrence to open up the 2025-26 season on Thursday evening at Pegula Ice Arena. The Nittany Lions took their revenge to welcome the new season with a 3-0 victory.
