After securing its first victory over No. 9 St. Lawrence in three years on Thursday, No. 8 Penn State returned to Pegula Ice Arena for the second game of the home-opening two-game series.

The Nittany Lions closed out the series against the Saints on Saturday afternoon at Pegula Ice Arena. The blue and white swept the Saints with a 5-2 victory.

The relentless aggression shown in the previous game carried to the second game as the blue and white didn’t allow a shot on goal until six minutes into the first frame.

The Nittany Lions were put to the test on the penalty kill at the 14:21 mark in the first period.
