No. 6 Penn State women's hockey utilizes four-goal first period to defeat RIT

Following a historic game on Saturday against Syracuse, coach Jeff Kampersal didn’t bask in the glory for long as he described what the road ahead looked like in his post-game press conference. No. 6 Penn State hit the road for a series against RIT in an environment that “has not been easy for the team.”

The Nittany Lions silenced the noise and used three straight goals to help get the win over the Tigers 5-3.

Friday’s conference matchup opened with a scoring party as both teams found the net, equaling six total goals in the first period.
