It was a rough day for Penn State both on the green and against the green.

An hour after Penn State football lost a heartbreaker to Indiana, the men’s hockey team followed up with a loss to Michigan State.

The Spartans tamed the Nittany Lions en route to a 5-0 victory.

The Spartans took control of the game early. Just two minutes into the opening frame, Gavin McKenna had his pocket picked in the neutral zone.

The turnover allowed Porter Martone to find Charlie Stramel wide open, leading to another early goal allowed by Josh Fleming.
