There were questions about whether Penn State could defeat a top team this season, following multiple ranked losses, but after the performance in the White Out, those questions were answered. The Nittany Lions swept Wisconsin, with the defense showing out throughout all three sets.
“I thought everyone did their job,” coach Katie Scumacher-Cawley said. “We played great, great defense, and I’m proud of the work the team put in during the week to be better.”
Against Nebraska, the team registered 20 digs, which was almost doubled in the victory against Wisconsin, as the squad tallied 39.
