The Keystone State Rivalry was revived in Rec Hall between No. 13 Penn State and No. 5 Pitt.
Despite a comeback effort from the Nittany Lions, the Panthers defeated the blue and white, 3-1, winning the Keystone State Rivalry match.
Pitt immediately started hot with a 3-0 run, not allowing Penn State’s offense to get in rhythm.
The Nittany Lions slowly worked themselves back into the set. Behind an 8-2 run, right-side hitter Kennedy Martin pushed the team to a 15-14 lead.
Martin’s three kills put the blue and white ahead for the first time in the match.
