UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Thanks to a balanced attack and consistent defensive effort, the Nittany Lion basketball team christened the 2015-16 with a victory on Saturday afternoon.
The season-opening win over VMI kick-started a span of four games in 11 days for the Lions. Penn State returns home on Tuesday at 5 p.m. (ESPNU) for a matchup against DePaul as part of the Gavitt Tipoff Games. The Big Ten and BIG EAST announced a series of eight games between the two conferences stretching between Nov. 17-20. The first Penn State-DePaul matchup since 1984-85 will also be part of Tuesday's College Basketball Tip-Off Marathon.
