The NCAA Administrative Committee decided that a spring football Transfer Portal window will no longer take place and only one fall portal will open instead of both. On Monday, Sept. 29, the Division I Football Bowl Subdivision Oversight Committee recommended an alternative to the original proposed dates of the single portal window.
The dates were initially Jan. 2-11, but they were still subject to change following student-athlete feedback. Now, the NCAA Oversight Committee approved a modification that allows players to enter the Transfer Portal from Jan. 2-16, a 15-day window.
Players involved in the postseason will have five days to enter the portal following their last playoff game that takes place on or after Jan.
