The reigning SEC champion Missouri volleyball team began its 2017 season on Wednesday at the Hearnes Center with the Black & Gold Scrimmage.
Team Gold swept Team Black for a 3-0 victory. Freshmen Dariana Hollingsworth-Santana and Leketor Member-Meneh were the standout performers with seven and six kills, respectively, while senior Courtney Eckenrode posted 12 assists.
"Leketor can really get up and she has a cannon for an arm. Tonight she showed what she's capable of doing," Missouri coach Wayne Kreklow said in a release from Missouri athletics. "Dariana is a really smooth and talented player. As the night went on, I thought she did better and better.
