Missouri's Ward wins SEC long jump title

Ja'Mari Ward jumped 8.13 meters to lead Missouri's men's track team into sixth place on the second day of the SEC Track and Field Championships in Columbia, South Carolina.

Ward started Missouri’s day off at the University of South Carolina with an SEC Championship title in the long jump. The freshman's personal best came on the last of six jumps in the final after fouling his second, fourth and fifth jumps.

Redshirt-junior Sheldon Keence ran a few seconds shy of his personal best for a fourth place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 8:57.
