The watch list for the 2018 Doak Walker Award, given annually since 1990 to the nation’s top running back, was released on Wednesday and for the third year running, a Penn State back was included.
Miles Sanders, the heir apparent to Saquon Barkley, was named among the backs to watch for the coming season.
Sanders, who was a five-star recruit out of Woodland Hills High School in Pittsburgh, showed flashes of what made him so coveted last season. He carried the ball 31 times for 191 yards (6.
