A strong all-around performance from sophomore Kiyomi McMiller was instrumental in the Lady Lions’s Friday night victory over the Cincinnati Bearcats.

The 5-foot-8 guard has been Penn State’s scoring leader in each of her two games with the team. After a 27-point outing on Monday against Bucknell, she scored 20 against Cincinnati to help seal the 82-77 Penn State victory.

“She’s a competitor, and she wants to win,” coach Carolyn Kieger said. “She locked in and played her best basketball in the last seven minutes of the game.”

McMiller, who transferred from Rutgers earlier this year, made an early impact in her second game with the blue and white.
