Just five hours prior to the deadline for players to withdraw their name from the 2019 NBA Draft pool, Penn State basketball fans were blessed with a tweet from Lamar Stevens announcing his return to school.
Lamar Stevens averaged 19.9 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game, shooting 42.2 percent from the field throughout the 2018-19 season.
A member of the All-Big Ten First Team as voted by the coaches, Stevens hired an agent and declared for the NBA Draft on April 9th. Last season, Stevens wouldn’t have had the option to return to school if he hired an agent, but a change in rules this season allowed for him to do so.
