Penn State finally got in the win column on Saturday with an always satisfying victory over Michigan in the Big House.
A key component of the victory was the emergence of Penn State’s run game, which accounted for 266 yards from scrimmage. Leading the way in that barrage was freshman running back Keyvone Lee.
Lee rushed for 134 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries, averaging 6.1 yards per carry along the way. That performance was good enough to earn him Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors.
This is the first weekly honor for the Nittany Lions this season and, likewise, Lee’s first weekly honor.
