James Franklin is out for revenge, offering yet another Penn State commit

Now at Virginia Tech, James Franklin is pushing hard to bring the recruiting class he built in Happy Valley, down to Blacksburg.

James Franklin did Penn State a huge favor before taking the job at Virginia Tech, negotiating his buyout down from $49 million to $9 million. Considering the offset language that was in his buyout, Franklin could have taken a low-ball offer from the Hokies, used his buyout, which runs through 2031, to replace what he’d lose in salary, and invested that money into his roster.
