New Haven took to X on June 12 to announce an intriguing nonconference matchup.
The Chargers, who play in the NEC, posted they’ll be hosting the Big Ten’s Penn State. The game will happen inside The Hazell Center at 1 p.m. Saturday, streamed on NEC Front Row.
Despite making the jump to Division I during the summer, their second home game will come against a power conference opponent. It’s not typical to see this type of game, and this week, Mike Rhoades spoke on the matchup and explained why the Nittany Lions are traveling.
Why Penn State is on the road
Rhoades said New Haven was looking for home games this season.
