A season ago, Luke Lilledahl finished third at the NCAA Championships and became an All-American as a freshman.
This offseason, Lilledahl wrestled at the U23 World Championships, took home the gold medal and was the Senior U.S Open Champion — he is still looking to improve.
“I feel like competing over the summer is a big aspect of continuing to grow,” Lilledahl said. “A lot of these guys haven’t competed since March, so me wrestling a couple tournaments, really three or four tournaments over the summer freestyle, I think helped me kind of stay sharp and see my weaknesses and that kind of thing.
