If Missouri right-hander Tanner Houck made his final start at Taylor Stadium on Saturday, the top-20 MLB prospect couldn't have asked for a better finale.
In his first complete game of the season, and fifth of his career, Houck registered a season-high 10 strikeouts, and Missouri (30-21, 10-16 SEC) got some late-game offense from Kameron Misner and Brett Bond to rally for a 5-3 win over South Carolina (30-20, 12-14).
Houck, who improved to 4-7 (2.89 ERA) with the win and passed Aaron Crow for fourth in program history with 285 career strikeouts, said he experienced mixed emotions upon recording the final out.
