Heidi Thelen makes impact in junior season for Penn State women's volleyball

Middle blocker Heidi Thelen is making a statement in her junior season. In the 36 sets she played this season, Thelen has posted 68 kills and 150 total attempts with only 16 errors.

As a sophomore, Thelen had 41 kills in 23 games. Her average number of blocks per set as a sophomore (1.36) ranked in the top 35 nationally as of Sept. 22, 2015 and has exceeded her career high seven kills with .875 hitting from last season’s NCAA game against Dayton with 11 kills earlier this season in the game against North Carolina.

While Thelen alternates with fellow teammates Tori Gorrell and Haleigh Washington for the role of middle blocker, Thelen’s proved she deserves more time on the court.
