David Taylor, or known by many as “The Magic Man”, will compete at 86 kg for Team USA at the 2018 Freestyle World Cup at Carver-Hawkeye Arena at the University of Iowa.
The competition will take place on April 7-8 and will feature wrestlers from all over the world.
The World Cup features the top eight men’s freestyle wrestling teams in the world and is the annual international dual meet championship.
Taylor wrestled for Penn State from 2011-2014 and had a very successful career as a Nittany Lion. He was a two-time NCAA champion in 2012 and 2014 and placed second at the NCAAs in 2011 and 2013.
