Penn State’s third transfer has found her home.
After entering the portal on April 9, two-way guard Leilani Kapinus committed to Vanderbilt on Saturday per her Instagram.
With the Lady Lions, Kapinus shined as Penn State’s best on-ball defender and received an All-Big Ten Defensive Team selection in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 campaigns.
In 2023-24 Kapinus was tasked with locking down some of the nation’s best. Key performances came against Iowa’s Caitlin Clark, Maryland’s Bri McDaniel and USC’s Juju Watkins among others, proving Kapinus’ worth as a lockdown defender.
