Former Penn State men’s hockey forward Xander Lamppa re-signs with Maine Mariners

A former Nittany Lion has inked a new contract.

Xander Lamppa, who spent four seasons at Penn State, re-signed with the Maine Mariners of the ECHL, the team announced on X Thursday. The Mariners are an affiliate of the Boston Bruins.

The 25-year-old forward previously spent 81 games the past two seasons with the Mariners, posting 39 points, 11 goals and 28 assists.

Lamppa served as an alternate captain for coach Guy Gadowsky’s squad in the 2023-24 campaign.
