Former Penn State men's hockey forward, captain David Goodwin signs with SM-liiga team SaiPa

On Wednesday, Finland-based SM-liiga team SaiPa announced it had signed former Penn State forward and captain David Goodwin.

"I'm really excited to move to Lappeenranta and play for SaiPa next season," Goodwin said at the end of a video release on SaiPa's offfical team Twitter account.

"I've seen videos on YouTube and the games look very fun and very exciting, and I know a lot of that is because of the great fans the team has. I'm really looking forward to being a part of that and interacting with you guys next year."

The St. Louis native finished his four-year career for Guy Gadowsky by becoming the first Nittany Lion to reach over 100 career points and led his team during the 2016-17 campaign to its first Big Ten title in program history and its first NCAA tournament berth in program history.
