Former Penn State men's basketball guard Andrew Funk to play in NBA summer league

A former Nittany Lion sharpshooter is playing with an NBA squad this summer.

Guard Andrew Funk is a part of the Philadelphia 76ers' summer league roster, which the team released Tuesday.

Funk spent just 2022-23 in Happy Valley. His 3-point shooting prowess allowed him to be a main contributor to the Nittany Lions' NCAA Tournament appearance. Overall, he shot 41.2% from deep and averaged 12.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game in 37 appearances.

The former Nittany Lion went undrafted in 2023, but joined the Grand Valley Gold to start his first professional season.
