For the first time this century, a Penn State men’s basketball player has been selected in the 2018 NBA Draft.
Standout point guard Tony Carr had to wait a while, but he finally heard his name called at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The New Orleans Pelicans selected Carr with the No. 51 overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft.
This past season, Carr helped lead the Nittany Lions to their second NIT Championship in program history.
The Philadelphia native declared after just his sophomore season, but was still able to accomplish a lot in his two seasons in Happy Valley.
