The 2027 high school class in Pennsylvania is one of the best, if not the best, that the state has seen in years. It’s loaded with blue-chip talents, and that presents a huge opportunity for Matt Campbell to lay the foundation of a future national championship roster in Happy Valley. However, it hasn’t gotten off to a great start.
The state’s top recruit, five-star running back Kemon Spell, has committed to Georgia, and Campbell has yet to land a commitment in the 2027 class. So, he and his staff desperately needed the positive update that former James Franklin commit Layton Von Brandt shared on social media this week.
