It's a vulnerable time to be Penn State football without any indication of who its next head coach is. While the 2025 roster came together under interim head coach Terry Smith, the players aren't forgetting their former head coach and everything James Franklin did for the program. Especially during a time of uncertainty and worry, it's hard not to think if firing Franklin was really the best move.
For senior quarterback Drew Allar, it was never a question if keeping Franklin was the Nittany Lions' best option.
On Tuesday night in the midst of more coaches brushing past Penn State's open job, Allar posted an Instagram story of himself and Franklin the locker room surrounded by other players.
