INDIANAPOLIS -- With last season's starting quarterback Sean Clifford graduated, Penn State coach James Franklin said at Big Ten media days his offense is still in a competition phase for the starting quarterback job.
Clifford was a four-year starter for the Nittany Lions and finished his career as Penn State's all-time leader in wins as the starting quarterback with 32. He is no longer on the roster, and the staff is now looking at Drew Allar and Beau Pribula to step up and take the job.
"A lot of people are talking about Drew and what he brings to the table, and he got a ton of experience last year playing 10 games.
