Crazy week of college wrestling upsets to leads to rankings shakeups

As the college wrestling dual season winds down, the drama is heating up.

For the first time this season, two No. 1s were toppled, which could potentially have major implications on postseason seedings.

Penn State’s reigning national champ at 165 pounds Vincenzo Joseph suffered his first loss of the season when Iowa freshman Alex Marinelli foiled Joseph’s inside trip attempt, taking him to the mat for back points.

World and Olympic champ Kyle Snyder also suffered a defeat, his first in a collegiate bout in nearly three years, falling 3-1 to Michigan’s Adam Coon.
