Penn State football head coach James Franklin hopped onto the hot seat, at least according to the public, after the Nittany Lions (3-2, 0-2 Big Ten) lost to UCLA in Week 5. Chatter about potential coaching changes and who could come into the picture and take over at Penn State is growing. Recently, Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule is a name popping up in conversation.
Rhule played for the Nittany Lions in from 1994-97 as a walk-on linebacker and started his coaching career as a volunteer assistant with his alma mater. He was first a head coach at Temple, turning that program into a winning team.
