Michael Johnson Jr. continued to make plays with both his right arm and his legs for the Sheldon (OR) Irish. In a 45-20 victory, Johnson rushed for 142 yards which included a 93-yard touchdown run. Through the air, he was 12/20 for 130 yards, a touchdown, and a pair of interceptions.

Johnson Jr.’s fellow quarterback commit, Taquan Roberson, also had a big game on Friday night. Leading the DePaul Catholic (NJ) Spartans to a 44-19 victory and a 6-1 record, Roberson was 11/24 for 206 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Up in the state of Michigan, future Nittany Lion linebacker Lance Dixon played a big role in the West Bloomfield Lakers improving to 6-2 on the season.
