Another year soon comes to a close, and for Penn State men’s basketball, it's a year of major reflection on the hardwood.
Most of that rumination, unfortunately, is rather drab, with 2025 marked by nothing but shortcomings and woes that spanned over two seasons. The year began with the second half of the 2024-25 season, when the Nittany Lions began 12-1 but, entering the new year, seemed like a different team and staggered to a finish of just a game over .500.
Yet, while the offseason saw an incredible recruiting class arrive, culminating in a start that mirrored last season's successes, the curse of the second half, which seems to falter, strikes again before the end of the year, souring the report card for 2025 for Penn State.
