Chase Berger signs amateur tryout agreement with the Pittsburgh Penguins AHL affiliate

Another day, another Penn State senior signing a professional contract.

Chase Berger has signed an amateur tryout agreement with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins. He will join the team for the remainder of this seasons and stay with the team next season.

The St. Louis native captained the Nittany Lions this past season, tallying 14 goals and 15 assists. This season, he set the program record for games played with 154 games, not missing a single game.

Earlier this week, Ludvig Larsson and Derian Hamilton signed ATO’s with the Devils and Admirals respectively.
