LINCOLN — Bill Moos said Sunday that his motto has always been the same in 25 years of athletic administration and won't change as he takes over at Nebraska: "Honor the past, live the present, create the future."
Saying a good fit was an "extremely important" factor in looking for Shawn Eichorst's replacement, NU Chancellor Ronnie Green introduced Moos first during a university statement Sunday and then an afternoon press conference at West Memorial Stadium Club.
Moos comes to Nebraska from Washington State, where he had served since 2010 and was dean of Pac-12 athletic directors. Moos also had previously been in the conference during a 12-year stay at Oregon from 1995 through 2007.
