Ryan Anderson unintentionally queued up a horror film in the week before Wake Forest’s game against North Carolina State. The Deacons center wasn’t watching “Chucky” or “It;" he was watching film from a 2015 matchup against the Wolfpack.
“We thought it was going to be funny and it was just, it was terrible. Like, it wasn’t funny to watch how much worse we were,” Anderson said.
No laughs, just the sobering reality of what the Deacons' offensive line looked like two seasons ago. Those were the hard times. And while looking back on them doesn’t offer comic relief, it does let the group in the middle of Wake Forest’s best offensive season in school history appreciate how far it's come — and how much more can be accomplished.
