Alex Hornibrook made the University of Wisconsin football team’s trip to BYU on Saturday a truly remarkable outing, completing 18 of his 19 passes, setting career highs in yards (256) and touchdowns (four), breaking school and even Big Ten records and leading the Badgers to a 40-6 romp in a game that didn’t appear so easy on paper.
There really wasn’t a better way to quiet criticism about his accuracy, and he even zipped a few passes over the middle for those who like to question his arm strength. Rightfully so, Hornibrook’s performance was lauded in the following days as being one of the best of any quarterback in the country this week.
