No. 18 Penn State redeems itself in the opening home match against Delaware. Each team's defense went head-to-head in this matchup, blocking each other from almost every opportunity of capitalizing on a point.
In total the game had 18 penalty corners, with Penn State having 12 and Delaware collecting 6. Both teams were showing their aggressiveness with a constant back-and-forth battle.
On top of the many fouls, the Blue Hens also had a yellow card thrown out in period one against Noelle Sabbagh.
“I was trying to pull out that aggressive play in them,” Penn State head coach Lisa Bervinchak Love said.
