Another former Penn State Nittany Lion has been taken in the 2019 NFL Draft. This time, it’s cornerback Amani Oruwariye. The talented defensive back was selected in the fifth round by the Detroit Lions. He was the No. 8 pick in the round. The Lions are getting an absolute steal in the fifth round. Many expected Oruwariye to go on day two in the third round of the draft, but he slid into the fifth.
Oruwariye was a major piece of Penn State secondary over the past few seasons, emerging as both a starter and a leader in 2018.
