Penn State Football Recruiting Roundup: The Latest On 1/16

It was a very big day for Penn State football, but not on the recruiting trail. We completely understand if PSU faithful have been focused on things other than recruiting today...so here's the latest:

OT Ryan Bates

PennLive.com has an excellent profile of Bates, one of the under-the-radar names on Penn State's list of incoming 2015 commits. He might not see much action right out of the gate (especially with JuCo transfer Paris Palmer coming in), but Bates (pictured above) is a name fans should get to know for further down the road.

Lamont Wade

The four-star CB will be part of the class of 2017, but it sounds like James Franklin is already getting to work on the Clairton, PA native.

Franklin was in Clairton in the last 48 hours...so it isn't hard to connect the dots.

Robert Windsor

A massive three-star DT from Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin, Windsor is one of the last uncommitted names that Penn State expects to add to their 2015 class. PSU coaches visited him Thursday, and it sounds like it's only a matter of time before he commits to PSU. Illinois, Purdue, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin were also interested.
