Penn State Football Recruiting: Rising Three-Star Defensive Standout Receives Offer From PSU

The Penn State Nittany Lions are one of the latest program to extend an offer to rising three-star Lithonia (GA) weakside defensive end Jordan Smith.

The 6-foot-6, 220-pounder is highly coveted by several top programs, holding offers from the likes of Clemson, Georgia, Florida State, Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tennessee, South Carolina, and many others.

While early projections have Smith leaning towards the Clemson Tigers, Penn State will do their best to bring Smith into Happy Valley in hopes of vaulting up his wishlist.

Smith is currently projected as a high three-star prospect according to 247Sports, and he could very well solidify himself as a four-star prospect before National Signing Day next year. He is currently listed as the #22 weakside defensive end in the Class of 2016 by 247Sports, along with being tabbed as the #28 prospect in the state of Georgia.
